Salary range (but not limited to):

109,900 - 134,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.


About the role

As a Property Claims Consultant in our Specialty Lines team, you will handle Entertainment Property Damage claims from our Entertainment Program. In addition to this, you may handle some traditional and renewable Energy Commercial Property claims and Equipment Breakdown claims, including those from our Global Network.


What you'll do here:

  • Investigate and evaluate complex Property, including Entertainment Property Damage, and Equipment Breakdown claims to determine coverage and liability
  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations, including gathering and analyzing relevant information and documentation
  • Communicate with policyholders, brokers, and other parties involved in the claims process to gather information and provide updates on the status of claims
  • Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Attend mediations and trials as required
  • Utilize knowledge of insurance contracts and industry standards to determine appropriate coverage and settlement amounts
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim files, including documentation of all activities and decisions made
  • Leverage your expertise in a creative, continuous improvement environment to support a model of best practice operations
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams within the company to ensure efficient and effective claims handling
  • Identify and investigate potential fraudulent claims and take appropriate action
  • Deliver and exceed on all key performance indicators as it relates to loss development, claims leakage control and expense management
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, changes in laws and regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service to insureds and brokers, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced claims adjusters on complex or high-value claims
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
