Job description

Job Title: Repair Technician II

Location: 4455 Atherton Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84123

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Work Type: Onsite 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Repair Technician II to join the service operations team supporting infusion pump systems. This role involves hands-on repair, refurbishment, and failure analysis of medical devices. You’ll also contribute to product complaint investigations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all work meets quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform troubleshooting, repair, and refurbishment of infusion pump devices and components.

Diagnose root causes for returned or failed equipment using various testing tools and techniques.

Conduct Level 0 and Level 1 PCI (Product Complaint Investigations).

Complete detailed documentation of repair, investigation, and refurbishment work in Oracle and related systems.

Support out-of-box failure analysis, engineering studies, and process improvements.

Assist in on-the-job training of new technicians.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Follow all cGMP, safety, and quality procedures.

May occasionally travel to customer sites for onsite repairs (less than 25%).

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred.

1–3 years of experience in electronics or electromechanical repair (medical device experience is a plus).

Proficient with reading schematics, using multimeters, soldering, and diagnostic tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Oracle or other device tracking/ERP systems is a plus.

Comfortable lifting 30–40 lbs and working with small, intricate components.

Preferred Experience:

Repairing electronic/mechanical systems like PCBs, gaming consoles, small appliances, or lab instruments.

Personal or hobbyist experience in electronics repair or DIY tinkering (highly valued).

Ability to analyze down to the component level and document findings clearly.
