Job description

Assembler 3 – Medical Device Manufacturing

Location: 605 North 5600 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116
Duration: 12 Months (Extension possible)
 

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assembler 3 to support medical device manufacturing and sample builds. This role involves mechanical assembly, chemical mixing, and working with specialized equipment in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly and sample builds for medical devices

  • Mix chemical formulations following SOPs and work instructions

  • Use specialized tools and equipment to:

    • Heat form catheter tips

    • Apply coatings to catheters

    • Apply lubrication to guidewires

  • Photograph, document, and characterize samples

  • Prepare samples for conditioning and testing

  • Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications

  • Follow all SOPs, safety, and quality guidelines

  • Identify and report abnormalities, defects, or equipment issues


Work Schedule

  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

  • Flexible start time

  • Occasional overtime available

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience

  • Experience with mechanical assembly and/or chemical mixing

  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English

  • Basic math skills

  • Experience using basic measurement tools (microscopes preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to work independently after training

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

  • Regular, punctual attendance required
