Job Title: Mechanical/Mechatronic Product Validation Engineer
Location: Gaffney, SC

Role Summary:

Responsible for building, testing, and validating prototype vehicles and mechanical systems to ensure performance, durability, and reliability. Supports testing activities, analyzes results, and drives improvements in design and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and assemble prototype vehicles for testing
  • Conduct vehicle and system testing (functional, durability, reliability, fuel economy)
  • Develop test methods, fixtures, and procedures
  • Use instrumentation, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and test chambers
  • Analyze test data and perform root cause analysis
  • Support design reviews and provide early-stage feedback
  • Maintain test vehicles and documentation
  • Coordinate test activities, workshops, and ride & drives
  • Support offsite and real-world testing

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years relevant experience OR
  • Degree (Mechanical/Mechatronics or related) with 1+ year experience
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and control systems

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in commercial vehicle industry
  • HV3 certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Familiarity with data acquisition tools (e.g., eDAQ)
  • Knowledge of CANalyzer and J1939
