Job Summary:
HBK - Hottinger Brüel & Kjær is a leading player in the test and measurement area, seeking a passionate RedHawk Software Engineer. The role involves developing and supporting real-time Linux RTOS software and tools, ensuring high performance and low latencies across various systems.
Responsibilities:
• You will develop, enhance, validate, and support Concurrent's RedHawk real-time enhanced Linux kernels and tools, working with both larger server-class systems that utilize standard Linux distributions, and smaller embedded hardware modules that utilize embedded Linux environments.
• You will also develop, enhance, validate, and support Concurrent's KVM-RT real-time virtualization engine to ensure that both real-time hosts and real-time virtual machines continue to achieve the highest level of determinism and lowest latencies in the industry.
• You will also periodically work on various projects including performance analysis, benchmarking, release engineering, security hardening, white paper authoring, quality assurance, and assisting with our automated nightly test system.
• Assess and determine areas of current engineering emphasis to focus attention on maximum utilization of engineering capabilities.
• Translate future product needs into engineering feasibility and be aware of product and project issues across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Consider all systems level aspects of products in accomplishing the most complex conceptual and innovative design projects.
• Employ all required section equipment, tools and methods.
• Contribute to improving the technical knowledge base and effectiveness of other engineers.
• Interface with co-workers and staff from other departments and ensure positive working relationship.
• Impart technical expertise within department, and to customers, users’ groups.
