Job Summary:
Supermicro is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer who will bridge the gap between low level System Engineering and high-level test automation. A hands-on Linux DevOps Engineer specializing in maintaining Server Infrastructure who will automate the software build, provisioning process, and administering of RHEL/Ubuntu Server Systems. You would also be implementing backend solutions for test automation with Python
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • In this role you will Automate the software build, installing and provisioning on Ubuntu OS and maintain the DevOps Environment to suit different System configuration requirements.
  • Requires understanding of Linux System administration and developing baseline OS installs. Automate provisioning of test nodes, including BIOS/BMC configuration.
  • This role also includes developing automated test content that integrates with the test automation framework. You will maintain scalable test modules in python.
  • Create scripts and tools that interact with databases to log test results and interface with frontend dashboards for real-time reporting.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices in Software Engineering
  • Provide support and work collaboratively with team members

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
  • 8 years developing and implementing best practices for Linux servers. Working knowledge of Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems administration
  • 4+ years working experience with Bash/Shell and strong Python skills for test automation in the lab.
  • Experience using Git for codebase version control
  • Experience with DevOps/testing frameworks like Jenkins, Robot framework, and Ansible
  • Experience with maintaining and configuring postfix (email service)
  • Experience writing cloud-init and kickstart configurations from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and work collaboratively in a team environment

Nice to have:
  • Familiar with Intel/AMD/NVIDIA development tool kits such as CUDA, ROCm is a plus
  • Experience with Django/Celery and working with RESTful APIs is an added advantage
  • Understanding of the Data Center Systems architecture is a plus
  • Basic networking/firewall understanding and familiarity with security protocols, firewalls, SSL certificates, and web-based technologies

Salary Range
$145,000 - $170,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
