Job description

As an Intelligence Analyst supporting operations of a national defense program space warfighting mission, you will be responsible for providing actionable data through briefed intelligence reports that inform decision-makers and broader Intelligence Community of counterspace (kinetic and non-kinetic) threats and assessed vulnerabilities to space & ground assets conducting 24/7 mission protection operations. This Intel Operations Support position is best filled by an expert on terrestrial and on-orbit counterspace threats, capable of guiding research and shaping assessments with team members working in a space operations-focused Intelligence Division. You will work closely with flight safety and mission protection staff and support Indication & Warning (I&W) system integration efforts that progress database accuracy and efficiencies in mission execution. Additionally, the successful candidate will continuously endeavor to close organizational knowledge gaps in an ever-changing space domain environment via committed collaboration, expert collection analysis and balanced resource tasking. Responsibilities: • Monitor live operations, organize and analyze pertinent IC data to brief and disseminate reports across staff and decision-makers across space ops centers • Research and employ an operational mindset when developing intel assessments and build solutions toward improved organizational space domain awareness • Support training development as well as strategic and exercise planning efforts • Collaborate frequently across divisions (i.e., flight safety, plans, mission protection, strategy and plans, engineering etc.) and respond to object and assessment inquiries • Maintain crew certification standards and system expertise to execute real world event procedures and exercise scenarios in accordance with approved checklists • Support daily mission protection operations; update briefs and monitor all significant recent space related and mission-impacting threat activity • Support 24/7 crew shift operations during events and periods of high ops tempo • Lead and/or attend meetings as required; provide space intelligence knowledge as a resource to senior military and civilian government customers Required Qualifications: • 2+ years' relevant experience working in intelligence community and/or military Intel career fields with 4-year degree; 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; or 1-year relevant experience with Graduate degree in related fields i.e., Intelligence Studies, Strategic Intelligence, Intelligence Analysis • Active TS/SCI with adjudicated CI Poly or willingness to submit to polygraph examination Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced knowledge of foreign/domestic space & ground system threat capabilities • 8+ years' experience working Defensive Space Control, Intelligence Analysis roles • 2+ years' prior National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) experience • All-source Intelligence and Collection Requirements experience • Intermediate or advanced understanding of orbital mechanics and mission applications • Previous participation in joint, interagency-level exercise planning and execution • Experience building & briefing (PowerPoint) and working with military and civilian leaders Security Clearance: This position requires a TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI Polygraph.
