Job Summary:


The Senior Corporate Controller will lead the accounting and finance functions across Benchmark Insurance Group and Rise Group Investments. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep expertise in financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and financial strategy. The ideal candidate will ensure that both organizations maintain financial integrity, optimize cash flow, and comply with all regulatory requirements while supporting business growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Financial Leadership & Strategy



Oversee all accounting, finance, and financial reporting functions for Benchmark Insurance Group and Rise Group Investments.



Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance.



Provide strategic financial guidance to executive leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and profitability improvement.



Collaborate with leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, risk management, and financial forecasting.


Accounting & Financial Reporting



Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.



Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for both entities.



Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.



Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.



Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.


Cash Flow & Treasury Management



Monitor cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.



Oversee accounts receivable collections and vendor payments to optimize cash flow.



Manage financing arrangements, loan compliance, and banking agreements.


Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management



Ensure compliance with insurance regulatory requirements, financial audits, and tax obligations.



Oversee internal audits and external audit processes, coordinating with CPA firms and regulatory agencies.



Implement risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and investments.


Team Leadership & Process Improvement



Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.



Implement technology and automation solutions to streamline financial operations.



Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and financial reporting accuracy.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• Industry experience in insurance, real estate, or investment firms preferred.



Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.



Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, and multi-entity accounting.



Proven ability to implement financial systems and process improvements.



Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar).



Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
