Quality Assurance Inspector
Scottsdale, AZ
Pay Estimated: $20.55-$25.55/Hour
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
We are hiring a Quality Assurance Inspector in Scottsdale, AZ to support inspection, verification, and quality assurance activities for advanced electronic and mechanical aerospace/defense systems. This role requires experience with IPC standards, MIL-STD inspection requirements, GD&T, defect analysis, quality documentation, electronic assembly inspection, and manufacturing quality assurance supporting mission-critical production and engineering operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspect mechanical and electronic parts/materials to verify compliance with applicable specifications and standards
  • Evaluate defects in real-time and determine appropriate disposition
  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, inspection records, and nonconformance reports
  • Verify implementation of corrective actions and monitor associated rework or repair activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams, engineering, and manufacturing to resolve quality issues and support continuous improvement

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of directly related experience in inspection or quality assurance
  • Certifications: J-STD-001/002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-ray inspection certifications may be required
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability standards
  • Experience using CAD tools (e.g., Pro-E/Creo, SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with ASME Y14.5M, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Understanding of basic mechanical stress, thermal, and tolerance analysis
