Quality Inspector 1st Shift| $18/hr.+ based on experience | 5:30am - 2:30pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join a precision manufacturing team in the Painesville area. This position is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections on precision-machined metal components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
 
The ideal candidate will have quality inspection experience within a precision machining environment, including in-process and final inspection. Experience inspecting parts following finishing, plating, coating, heat treatment, or other post-machining processes is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of machined metal components
  • Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and conformance to specifications
  • Utilize measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other inspection tools
  • Perform detailed visual inspections using magnification equipment and microscopes when required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and inspection criteria
  • Accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records
  • Identify and report nonconforming products
  • Assist with packaging and verification of completed parts as required
  • Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
 Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred
  • Experience inspecting precision-machined components strongly preferred
  • Experience in a finishing, plating, coating, or post-machining inspection environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and other measuring equipment
  • Comfortable performing detailed visual inspections using 3x/10x magnification and microscopes
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings
