Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tunnel Inspector to assess the safety and integrity of tunnels and underground structures. The Tunnel Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, identifying structural issues, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-20 years' experience in tunnel inspection, civil engineering, or a related field
  • Knowledge of tunnel construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in tunnel inspection or related field is a plus.
  • OSHA 30-Hour safety certification prior to the start of work on the project


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections of tunnels and underground structures to assess safety, structural integrity, and compliance with regulations.
  • Identify and document any structural issues, defects, or maintenance needs.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports outlining findings, recommendations, and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to address inspection findings.
  • Ensure that all inspections are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date on tunnel construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations.

Salary range: $90,000 to $130,000 YR
