As a Solution Architect within PNC's Lending Tech organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH or Birmingham, AL.
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to provide architectural oversight and technical leadership across our Credit Card Servicing Applications and Customer Journeys ecosystem and its vendor and distributed data landscape. This role will bridge mainframe and distributed platforms, driving end-to-end solution design, integration, and data governance across the FDR, CCH, NCS, CSH, CSE, REW, and ATZ mnemonics. Coordinating Architectural solutions with Credit Card Customer Channel platforms such as online banking, DSP, and Mobile is also a key component.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data architecture, API/distributed systems, and enterprise integrations, with the ability to coordinate cross-platform initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise data strategies.
Architecture & Solution Design
• Serve as the primary architect and technical lead for the Credit Card Servicing team, participating in Customer Journey crew solutions/planning
Design and implement scalable, integrated solutions across all mnemonics as needed
Architect data flows and integrations between:
• Mainframe systems (as integrates with distributed systems)
• Distributed platforms (Oracle, MS SQL Server, APIs, etc.)
Integration & Platform Alignment
• Lead integration efforts across:
o Distributed Oracle databases (CCH & CSH)
o Ensure seamless data interoperability and consistency between legacy (mainframe) and modern (distributed) platforms.
o Collaborate with engineering, data, and business teams to align system interfaces and data models.
Data Governance & Documentation
• Drive comprehensive data documentation and lineage tracking as appropriate:
• Assist in ensuring all relevant data assets are fully documented within Alation/BDH.
• Establish and enforce standards for data governance, metadata management, and data quality.
Technical Leadership & Coordination
• Provide architectural guidance for new initiatives, enhancements, and system modernization efforts.
• Facilitate cross-team collaboration to ensure efficient execution of integration and data initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritize, plan, and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.
Modernization & Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy processes and expand distributed capabilities within Credit Card Servicing applications.
Promote best practices in:
• Data architecture
• System integration
• Performance optimization
• Drive adoption of enterprise data platforms and tools.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, data architecture, or related roles
Strong experience with:
• Strong API experience

• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
