Job Schedule: 9/80 – Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Job Description

The Senior Specialist Test Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams in support of Imagery Intelligence (IMINT) systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of a variety of IMINT systems, collection platforms, ground stations, including their capabilities, employment, testing, and integration. The candidate will support various programs assisting in system integration, requirements verification and validation, as well as troubleshooting for full system and subsystems integrations.

Essential Functions
  • Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements.
  • Engage with US and foreign customers to design ISR collection systems to support the specified requirements of each.
  • Participate in Bid and Proposal for multiple airborne platform configurations.
  • Understanding of physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Perform test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Author and execute effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Perform hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
  • Will be required to successfully pass an FAA Class 3 Flight Physical and Altitude chamber to support test flights.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant systems engineering experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related systems engineering experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related systems engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated experience performing hands-on test, integration, and verification of software and/or hardware.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
Preferred Additional Skills/Qualifications
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification.
  • Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, and/or model-based systems engineering.
  • Military EO/IR, Radar, RF, ECM, IRCM and/or Aircraft Self Protection Maintenance experience.
  • Experienced operating in a Linux environment.
  • Experienced with DOORS and/or Jira.
