Standard Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).

Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

THE WORK Provide technical support to engineers by performing moderately complex assignments independently Gather, format, compile, and manipulate technical data such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Conduct and record test activities to support engineering evaluations and analysis.

Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas and preliminary data analysis following established guidelines. Interpret data in areas such as trajectory adequacy and model dimensional consistency, and make sound quantitative judgments. Produce high-quality engineering documentation, reports, and drawings including flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics.

Use personal computers and software tools to analyze data and generate technical documentation and reports. Research technical assignments and processes; analyze results and may develop and present recommendations. Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training equivalent to an Associate degree in a technical field strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical or para-engineering experience.

Solid understanding of engineering principles and technical documentation. Ability to interpret and generate technical schematics, diagrams, and reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software.

Desired Skills Desired skills: Ability to provide guidance or leadership to lower-level personnel as needed. Capable of working independently and taking initiative in problem-solving. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Contributes to major organizational activities and projects. Errors in work could have significant negative impact at the section or project level if not identified and corrected.

Expected to maintain a high standard of accuracy and accountability. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
