Job description

About the role

Financial Aid Services (FAS) is seeking technically skilled consultants in PowerFAIDS and Jenzabar to support colleges and universities in strengthening the systems and technology that power financial aid delivery. In this role you will lead complex client engagements, providing strategic guidance and deep technical expertise to institutions navigating system modernization, compliance risk, and operational change. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy creating and delivering practical solutions that improve access and compliance.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise higher education clients on financial aid systems configuration, optimization, and integration
  • Translate regulatory and operational requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Analyze, diagnose and resolve system, data, and workflow issues
  • Improve workflows, reduce manual efforts, and help institutions modernize financial aid operations through smart system use and automations
  • Configure, test, and validate system enhancements
  • Support data reconciliation, controls, and reporting improvements
  • Develop clear and actionable documentation, playbooks, and recommendations tailored to client environments
  • Serve as a trusted technical partner to financial aid and institutional stakeholders
  • Systems Priority: PowerFAIDS & Jenzabar

You Might be a Great Fit if You have

  • Extensive experience with PowerFAIDS and Jenzabar
  • Extensive experience with other enterprise systems in higher education (Banner, PeopleSoft, Workday, Colleague, etc.) a plus
  • Strong system thinking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Thought leadership to look beyond the current state and make recommendations to elevate systems
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to functional and executive audiences
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Ideal background in system administration, strong data analysis and problem-solving skills

Why Consulting

  • Direct impact across multiple institutions
  • Focus on value partnership, not just deliverables
  • Exposure to diverse systems and operating models
  • Opportunity to shape best practices at scale
  • Continue advancing the mission of higher education in a new capacity
