Guidance Residential, LLC is a strong, growing company that specializes in residential mortgage lending. Our team members are a vital strength in our ability to grow and continue to serve our customers.
We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to support and extend our mortgage loan origination platform (Integra EPIC LOS). Reporting to the Hiring Manager and working under the direction of our Lead Application Developer, this role designs, builds, and maintains LOS configurations, system integrations, and reporting/analytics that keep our lending operation running efficiently and in compliance. Beyond hands-on development, this person will act as a project lead, gathering requirements, scoping and sizing work, setting timelines, and delivering on commitments while championing engineering best practices, clean documentation, and repeatable process.
Key Responsibilities
LOS Application Development & Support
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain functionality within the Integra EPIC LOS, including business rules, workflow, forms/screens, and extensibility points.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, balancing quick fixes with sustainable, well-architected solutions.
  • Optimize and automate loan-origination process workflows to reduce manual effort and cycle time.
Connectivity & Integrations
  • Build and maintain integrations between the LOS and internal and third-party systems using REST/SOAP web services, APIs, and secure file exchange.
  • Support connectivity to mortgage service providers (e.g., AUS, pricing engines, credit, e-sign/doc prep, title, appraisal, and investor/GSE delivery).
  • Ensure integrations are secure, reliable, and handle sensitive borrower data (PII/NPI) appropriately.
Business Intelligence, Reporting & Data Analytics
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and datasets (Power BI, SSRS, and/or Crystal Reports) that give the business visibility into pipeline, production, operations, and compliance.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis, translate business questions into data models and metrics, and validate data quality.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs and deliver actionable, trustworthy reporting.
Project Leadership
  • Act as lead on assigned projects: gather and document requirements, define scope, size and estimate effort, build timelines, and manage deliverables to completion.
  • Coordinate work across the team and with business stakeholders and vendors; communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Break large initiatives into workable, well-sequenced tasks.
Best Practices, Documentation & Governance
  • Follow SDLC and coding best practices: standards, peer code review, testing, and disciplined change control.
  • Use industry-standard source/version control and team collaboration tooling for all work.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical and functional documentation - specifications, data dictionaries, runbooks, and user guides.
