Job description

Intake Specialist I

The Intake Specialist I will coordinate the enrollment process of potential PACE participants, requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare industry. The Intake Specialist I will work with the Enrollment Development Specialists (EDSs) to assist in increasing the PACE program membership by effectively enrolling potential participants and supporting retention efforts. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for discussing, upselling, and explaining the overall services provided by the PACE Program. They will be housed at the AltaMed PACE site they support and will act as the bridge between the Marketing and Operations teams. The Intake Specialist I is responsible for managing participants' enrolments; they will be the central point person and will work in conjunction with other PACE cross-functional departments to ensure participants are enrolled promptly. This role demands to work in a fast-paced and team environment, in collaboration with internal and external AltaMed operations teams. The Intake Specialist I will utilize the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) to track and monitor all leads and will be responsible for daily status reports on marketing efforts and participant enrollment progress. Other responsibilities include assisting with identifying new referral sources, conducting outreach activities, and generating enrollment leads through internal promotion activities. The Intake Specialist must ensure consistent compliance with all state, federal, and company-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree in healthcare, Business Administration, or a related nursing field of study, or a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Current valid BLS certification required.
  • Minimum one-year experience working with the elderly and their families, preferably in a healthcare or community agency setting required.
  • Marketing/Sales experience preferred.
  • Bilingual Cantonese/Mandarin/Vietnamese/English or Spanish/English required.

Compensation

$25.00 - $29.32 hourly
