They gather medical histories, perform preliminary health evaluations, and coordinate with physicians to ensure patients receive appropriate care from the start. Intake Nurse RNs play a vital role in triaging patients, prioritizing care based on urgency, and facilitating smooth transitions into treatment or admission. Their work helps ensure that patients are accurately evaluated and placed in the correct care pathways.
