Job description

Intake Coordinator - Communicates with potential patients and/or referral sources that have inquired about services to answer questions and gather information. Provides a centralized intake and customer service function in order to gather pertinent patient, clinical and financial information.
Hours: Full-time | Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm

A few must-haves for this position:
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
  • Three (3) years relevant experience in medical services or clinical environment with knowledge of medical terminology including previous intake experience of at least one year preferred.

Some functions of what you will do:
  • Communicates with potential patients and/or referral sources that have inquired about services to answer questions and gather referral information.
  • Provides a centralized intake and customer service function in order to gather pertinent patient, clinical and financial information to optimize sales, customer responsiveness and satisfaction.
  • Achieve and maintain timely and accurate prior insurance authorizations for new and current patients.
  • Communicates with patient/client and family regarding arrangements for the initiation of care/services.
  • Completes intake screening including obtaining, documenting and analyzing all required information to make a preliminary admission decision.
  • Receives and logs referrals. Prepares reports and responses to inquiries. Provides telephonic contact and system data entry for customers seeking care/services.
