) Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant
At Emerald Nursing and Rehab Columbus, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of rehabilitation and skilled nursing in a post-acute setting. Our team of highly trained professionals is comprised of passionate individuals who have dedicated their lives to caring for others.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Transportation Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! As a Transportation Aide, you will provide direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and transport residents to appointments as scheduled. You will also assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.
Responsibilities:
  • Clear driving record
  • Willingness to transport as needed
  • Flexible hours
  • Properly use and maintain facility equipment
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, and positioning in and out of bed, chair, etc.
  • Prepare residents for meals and snacks
  • Assist residents in eating where needed and record food intake
  • Maintain residents' rooms in neat, orderly and clutter-free manner
  • Ensure residents are given correct diet
  • Support residents' participation in activity programs
  • Directly respond to needs and concerns of residents and family members
  • Ensure residents' rights are being honored at all times
  • Provide resident care as directed by care plan
  • Ensure residents' comfort while assisting them in achieving their highest practicable level of functioning
  • Participate in collecting data needed for the accurate completion of the MDS and the plan of care
  • Other responsibilities, within scope, as set forth by DON/ADON

Qualifications:
  • Must be a Certified Nurse Aide in good standing with the state
  • Must maintain a current certification in the state throughout employment
  • Must achieve 12 hours of in-service education annually as required by federal regulations (as well as meet state requirements, if exceeds federal)
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
  • Must have the ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with residents, families and other employees at all levels
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
