The opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our Corporate IT team based in our Canton, MA; Boston, MA; Farmington, CT or Raleigh, NC offices on a hybrid schedule. The Enterprise Architect is an expert-level individual contributor that requires a degree of technical expertise and a mastered proficiency of architecture concepts that few others possess. Working on highly complex assignments in an agile environment with extremely limited direction, the Enterprise Architect possesses a broad view of the enterprise application design strategies and architecture, in addition to a deep understanding of client needs. Determining and developing architectural approaches and solutions, the Enterprise Architect will be the expert lead in conducting the business review, current system requirements and providing overall architectural solutions to enterprise wide application issues. Some of the Enterprise Architect responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of high quality technical solutions. Solutions must be aligned with the Business’s and IT’s overall strategies, while complying with the organization’s architectural and business standards.
  • Accountable for strategic and operational end-result deliverables through guiding, innovating, managing, planning and coordinating architecture activities.
  • Maps the relations between information systems components (i.e. end users, business processes, applications, data, IT platform hardware/software, and networks) and business functions and objectives.
  • Identifies key interactions and dependencies across separate systems and platforms.
  • Provides recommendations toward the component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, and product evaluation.
  • Develops and maintains an overarching systems and technology model for a significant portion of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Evaluates the total cost of ownership and return on investment on various architectural alternatives
  • Expert lead in the full systems lifecycle of multiple high level solutions, and is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting applications software that is delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives.
  • Innovates, influences and facilitates agile methodology among the team; fostering an atmosphere of teamwork.
  • Effectively coaching team (Scrum teams) and providing guidance and support

The expertise you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • 15+ years of experience.
  • Application architecture and development experience in the technologies used by the company.
  • Demonstrates expertise in more than one skill and/or discipline.
  • Extensive experience and a solid understanding of design, development, quality assurance and integration methodologies in an agile environment.

Our salary ranges are determined by many factors including location, role, experience and skillset of the candidate. The following ranges displayed reflect the target base salary for new hires; however, your recruiter will provide more specific compensation details during the hiring process. The typical base salary range for this position is: $160,000 – $200,000, based on the factors aforementioned. For candidates located in San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; our Massachusetts based offices and the New York City metro area, the base salary range is $174,000 - $204,000. In addition to base salary, full time Intact employees are also eligible for bonus potential and a full range of benefits to include but not limited to:
