Job description

USAP Colorado Springs is the leading physician-owned and physician-led practice in Southern Colorado. We are looking to add 1099 PRNs to be a part of our incredibly successful team. As a physician-led group, we understand the demands placed on physicians and our group has subsequently evolved to prioritize physician work-life balance through uncommon flexibility and individual autonomy. Having some control over workload and being able to tailor individual practices has led to our industry low attrition and stability in this challenging post Covid market. Combined with this growing region, we are positioned for the foreseeable future.

The practice currently has the exclusive contract at 3 CommonSpirit hospitals (Penrose, St Francis, and St Francis Interquest) and 6 outpatient surgery centers. Our case variety includes significant orthopedics, ENT, spine, neurosurgery, L&D, healthy peds, urology, vascular, thoracic, and a dedicated cardiac team. Our team currently consists of about 50 physicians, 25 CAAs, and 5 CRNAs. .

Benefits and Highlights:
- Hourly position for 1099s - no call, no weekends
- Flexible schedule options - whether you have availability a few days/week or a specific week per month, we can work with your schedule
- Medical malpractice including tail insurance
- Supervision optional
- No noncompete and no restrictions on external moonlighting

We also have full time W2 positions available as well if not interested in PRN work.

Our City:
Colorado Springs has become a regular on those “Best Places to Live” lists. The purple mountain mentioned in “America the Beautiful” was inspired by the Pike’s Peak view that we enjoy daily. The city offers affordable regional housing, homes with mountain views, top public schools, in town hiking and mountain biking, eclectic breweries and restaurants, the Ford Amphitheater, and outstanding city parks like the iconic Garden of the Gods. Being in the Olympic City, you may find yourself in a yoga class with a gold medal winner, and clinically with such an active lifestyle culture, our community is much healthier than the average American city. With mountain towns like Breckenridge and Salida 2.5 hours away, it is also a premier Rocky Mountain gateway to all those Colorado activities- world-class alpine skiing, mountain biking, camping, hiking, white water rafting, and fly fishing. Denver is about 50 minutes north if you want to catch a Broncos game or Red Rocks concert. Lake Pueblo is about 1 hour south if you’re into boating and water skiing in the Summer. And with 300 days of sunshine and mild traffic, it means you will actually do those things!

Company History:
Pikes Peak Anesthesia Associates was the largest anesthesia provider in Southern Colorado. We joined USAP in 2018 and have continued to be the preeminent inpatient and outpatient anesthesia team in the Colorado Springs community. The legacy culture focused on physician flexibility has remained intact as USAP recognized the long-term success and stability of our model. The practice is led by elected, local partner physicians that make up our Clinical Governing Board (CGB). The CGB balances the clinical and business interests of the group and makes decisions regarding care team management, call structure, recruiting, etc. We provide anesthesia for approximately 60,000 procedures per year and have grown organically due to quality care and long-standing relationships with our surgeons and facilities.

  • All USAP Anesthesiologists must be either an M.D. or D.O. with the completion of an approved Anesthesiology Residency program.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
  • Anesthesiologist must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements for the hospitals they will have privileges.

US Anesthesia Partners (USAP) is a network of physician-owned-and-led local anesthesia practices backed by nationwide support. Our physicians remain at the helm of their practices supported by structured leadership development, proprietary OR staffing and utilization tools, and localized business experts. The focus stays on providing top-quality anesthesia care with advantages like superior operational infrastructure, advanced quality data, and a streamlined patient experience. Build your career with the team that is leading the nation in quality anesthesia care.

US Anesthesia Partners, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, status as a parent, national origin, age, disability (physical or mental), family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or other non-merit based factors.
