Accounts Payable / Accounting Support (Temporary – Hybrid)
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay: $25–$26/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Work Model: Hybrid (2 days in-office / 3 days remote; more in-office initially for onboarding)

About the Opportunity
Fuze HR is currently seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounting Support professional to join a rapidly growing and innovative organization, Horizon Legacy, based in Mississauga.

This is a temporary opportunity (initial 1-month assignment) with strong potential for extension, created to support a busy accounting team during a period of growth and increased workload. Horizon Legacy is known for its forward-thinking, project-driven work, and is looking for candidates with project accounting experience, especially using Sage Intacct.

Key Responsibilities
This role goes beyond traditional Accounts Payable and focuses on full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting support, including:
  • Processing Accounts Payable transactions
  • Performing credit card reconciliations (multiple company cards)
  • Managing and organizing receipts and financial documentation
  • Matching invoices and receipts to purchase orders
  • Following up with internal stakeholders to obtain approvals
  • Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
  • Posting transactions within the accounting system
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Supporting the Controller and Senior Accounting team as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures

This role includes a strong coordination component, requiring proactive follow-up and attention to detail.

Systems & Tools
  • Sage Intacct – project accounting experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience with project-based accounting is a strong advantage
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting support roles
  • Strong background in Accounts Payable and reconciliations
  • Experience with project accounting, ideally in a construction or project-driven environment
  • Comfortable managing documentation and following up on approvals
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is preferred

  • Must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) due to the confidential and innovative nature of the company’s work
