Position Summary


Holmes Motors is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Automotive Insurance Verification Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in protecting company assets by verifying active insurance coverage on financed vehicles, maintaining accurate customer records, and communicating with insurance providers and customers to ensure all insurance requirements are met.


The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working on the phone, has excellent computer skills, and can effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verify automobile insurance coverage for customer accounts through direct communication with insurance companies, insurance agents, and customers.
  • Accurately enter and update insurance information within company systems.
  • Review insurance documentation to ensure policies meet company requirements.
  • Contact customers regarding insurance coverage, policy changes, cancellations, or missing information.
  • Maintain accurate account notes and documentation of all customer and insurance company communications.
  • Answer inbound telephone calls and professionally assist customers with insurance-related questions.
  • Process incoming mail and apply insurance documents to the appropriate customer accounts.
  • Follow up on outstanding insurance verification requests in a timely manner.
  • Meet and maintain monthly insurance verification goals established by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while representing Holmes Motors in a professional manner.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous insurance verification, insurance agency, customer service, collections, or automotive finance experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn multiple software applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.

Work Schedule

  • Full-Time Position
  • Monday through Friday (with a Saturday rotation)
  • 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs.
