Kocher + Beck USA, L.P. in Lenexa, KS is seeking candidates who enjoy a fast-paced environment to join their team! The Traveling Field Service Technician will travel to job sites to repair, test, and install equipment. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing converting machinery and equipment. Additional responsibilities are operator training of the equipment and performing onsite audits.


Position Type + Hours

This is a permanent full-time position. Core hours of work are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 hours per week, and will have to work overtime as needed. Additionally, this position must be able to travel 75% of the time with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work schedule. 


Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in technical service or a related discipline 
  • Must have previous mechanical and electrical industry knowledge and strong attention to detail to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose problems
  • Must have the ability to understand engineering prints and assembly drawings/blueprints 
  • Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of chemical, health, and safety issues
  • Detail-oriented, time management, communication, and training skills required
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • Able to work independently, as well as with others in a fast-paced environment
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly

Preferred

  • Familiar with engineering software applications including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor
  • Printing, die cutting, web handling, or machine shop experience
