Surgical Tech-OR
Full Time I Second Shift
Operating Room I Lexington, KY
$15,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.
Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department, 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling, a Postoperative Care Unit, an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas, and a Sterile Processing Department.
Description Surgical Tech-OR:
  • Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles, which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning, gloving sterilization, and disinfection.
  • Actively participates in unit activities.
  • Ensures positive customer relations interactions.
  • On call weekends, weeknights, and holidays by rotation.

Requirements Surgical Tech-OR:
  • Technical Diploma; Associate degree.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program.
  • National Certification CST Certified Surgical Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
