Build a Career. Make a Difference. Be Proud of What You Do.

At Efthimakis Insurance Agency Inc. - Desjardins Insurance, we believe insurance is about so much more than policies. It's about helping people protect what matters most, building trusted relationships, and making a real difference in someone's life every day.
We're building a high-performing sales team and looking for someone excited to grow with us. This isn't just another sales position-it's an opportunity to build a long-term career where you'll be challenged, supported, coached, and celebrated along the way.
Whether you're already in sales or looking for a career where your hard work truly determines your success, we'd love to meet you.

Why Join Our Team?

We have intentionally created a culture where people enjoy coming to work, support one another, celebrate wins together, and continuously learn and improve. You'll receive one-on-one coaching, structured training, ongoing development, and a team that is genuinely invested in your success.

We Hire for Attitude, Not Insurance Experience

Insurance can be taught. Drive, integrity, resilience, curiosity, and coachability are much harder to teach. You do not need insurance experience. If you're willing to learn, accept coaching, and put in the effort, we'll teach you everything you need to know.

Your Career Path

Stage 1: Obtain (or complete) your Property & Casualty licence, learn personal insurance, our systems, and begin building your client base.
Stage 2: Expand into Commercial Insurance while developing networking, business development, and relationship-building skills.
Stage 3: Obtain your Life Insurance licence and become a well-rounded advisor helping clients protect every stage of life.

Compensation & Growth
  • Annual base salary: $40,000 - $50,000 (based on experience)
  • Commission Potential: uncapped, based on sales performance with high potential
  • Monthly and annual bonuses tied to office and team goals.
  • Opportunity for career growth into advanced sales roles
  • Ongoing training, mentorship, and career development within a supportive team environment.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients
Prospect and generate new business opportunities
    Network within the community
    Make outbound calls
    Follow up consistently with leads
    Educate clients and recommend solutions
Maintain detailed documentation and activity tracking
Participate in ongoing coaching and training
    Celebrate wins with your team
Who Will Thrive Here?

An individual that is self-motivated, outgoing, curious, coachable, organized, detail-oriented, accountable, resilient, professional, passionate about helping people, and committed to continuous growth. You understand that consistent daily activities create long-term success.

We Think You'll Love This Job If...

You love meeting new people, enjoy helping others, like setting goals, appreciate coaching, want a career instead of just a job, enjoy learning, and believe relationships are more important than transactions.

You May Not Enjoy This Role If...

You prefer waiting for business to come to you, dislike networking or outbound calling, struggle with organization or follow-up, resist coaching, become discouraged easily by rejection, or simply want a predictable routine.

Experience We'd Love to See

Sales, customer service, retail leadership, hospitality, banking, business development, or relationship management. Insurance experience is an asset but absolutely not required.

What Success Looks Like

Our best advisors build trust first, listen before recommending, follow through, stay organized, continue learning, welcome feedback, support teammates, and continuously improve.

Why People Love Working Here

Teamwork, continuous growth, celebrating successes, helping clients, supporting our community, ongoing learning, coaching and mentorship, and positive energy.

What We Offer

Base salary plus commission, performance incentives, paid training, licensing support, one-on-one coaching, ongoing professional development, career advancement opportunities, and a supportive collaborative team.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and computer skills, experience or willingness to use AI technology, valid driver's licence and reliable transportation, attention to detail, passion for helping people. Property & Casualty licence is an asset but not required.

Ready to Build Something You're Proud Of?

We're looking for someone who wants more than a paycheck. We want someone who wants to build a meaningful career, make a positive impact, continue learning every day, and become part of a team that truly supports one another.

Application Question (Required)

Along with your resume, please answer:
"What excites you about a career in sales, and what motivates you to keep going when things get challenging?"
We're interested in learning about your mindset, your motivation, and what drives you to succeed.

A Note from Miranda, Agency Owner

When I hire someone, I'm not just filling a position-I'm investing in a person.
I believe the right environment, coaching, and support can help someone build a career they're truly proud of. If you're hardworking, coachable, genuinely care about helping people, and are excited to continuously learn and grow, I'd love the opportunity to meet you.
Experience is valuable, but attitude, integrity, and a willingness to improve every day are what matter most to me.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be encouraged, challenged, supported, and celebrated, I hope you'll apply. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and learn your story.
