JOB OVERVIEW:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Timely and accurately submit surplus lines filings for assigned states.
  • Process surplus lines tax returns for all assigned states before due dates.
  • Coordinate payment of surplus lines taxes by appropriate due dates.
  • Maintain accurate files on shared drive
  • Work with surplus lines stamping offices and state agencies to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with and assist in educating the account teams
  • Reconcile reports and coordinate with accounting
  • Utilize InsCipher for filings and reports

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be a team player/collaborate with all colleagues as needed
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret surplus lines regulations and requirements.
  • Be able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent follow up skills.
  • Able to navigate the internet.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Surplus lines experience helpful
  • Property & Casualty Insurance background helpful
  • Accounting experience helpful

COMPENSATION: 

 Non-Exempt: The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour and standard workweeks are 37.5 hours. This range represents the employer's good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
