Job description

Our client, a highly respected A-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) to join their growing IT department. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in driving cutting-edge digital transformation initiatives within a leading organization in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely but candidate MUST reside in New Jersey or New York.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level applications using Microsoft development tools and frameworks.
  • Participate in full lifecycle development efforts, ensuring scalability, performance, and security best practices are followed throughout.
  • Leverage Microsoft Power Platform tools to streamline and optimize business processes.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and cross-functional teams to align software solutions with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and provide technical guidance to peers.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, recommending strategic solutions that advance the company’s digital initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality, reliability, and maintainability through consistent best practices and documentation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 5- 10+ years of practical, hands-on development experience with C#, .NET, and Azure.
  • Hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including services such as App Services, Functions, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, and other platform or infrastructure offerings.
  • Current Microsoft Azure certification is a plus.
  • Strong development background using C# and SQL, with practical experience working in SQL Server environments and management tools.
  • Advanced, in-depth expertise with Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse. Background working with applications in the property and casualty insurance sector highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building scalable back-end services, including the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and layered API architectures (process- and experience-level APIs).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Science, or a related technical field from an accredited U.S. institution.
Salary/Benefits:
