Phasor Engineering currently has an opening for a Civil/Structural Engineer position. This is a staff position, and we offer excellent benefits and a competitive salary package. #Engineer

Role Requirements:

· Detailed technical knowledge of structural engineering design, including steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations.

· Knowledge of Civil works including site preparation, earthworks and retaining walls.

· Professional knowledge of applicable Canadian codes and standards.

· Proficient in STAAD-Pro software as well as experience with AutoCAD. Familiarity with other applicable structural engineering software, such as RISA will be an asset.

· Strong understanding of safety in design principles.

· Ability to lead a small to medium size design project from start to completion with minimal oversight.

· Ability to mentor/provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.

· Results-oriented and self-driven individual with experience juggling multiple projects and meeting project deadlines.

· Strong and confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to write clear and concise documents and be able to clearly explain technical information and concepts to internal and external parties.

· Client-focused – attending client meetings and maintaining good working relationships with Clients.

Educational Requirements:

· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

· Minimum 10 years of relevant Civil/ Structural engineering experience.

· Registered Professional Engineer P.Eng.

Preferred Experience:

· Previous experience working on Industrial Civil projects is preferred.

· Previous experience working in an EPC environment is an advantage.

· Previous experience working in electrical HV substation design for utility companies is an asset.
