Job Overview

Citadel offers a full line of insurance services designed to meet the needs of our membership. The Insurance Sales Associate serves as a trusted advisor and primary resource for members seeking auto and home insurance coverage.  This role focuses on providing exceptional service, educating members on coverage options, and driving insurance sales. 

The Insurance Sales Associate serves as the first point of contact for insurance leads submitted by branch staff and is responsible for supporting sales and service activities across insurance products.  The Insurance Sales Associate will assist with Medicare sales processes, handle client inquiries, and act as a liaison between members and insurance carriers.

This role will partner with the Insurance Division VP to support branch education and engagement.  This role focuses on providing exceptional service, educating members on coverage options, and driving insurance sales

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and prioritize sales leads, leveraging referrals, and outbound strategies to generate new business.
  • Prepare and deliver home and auto insurance quotes using carrier platforms
  • Educate members on insurance coverage and make recommendations based on their needs.
  • Develop and facilitate training sessions for branch employees and other Citadel personnel on insurance offerings, referral best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Act as liaison between members and insurance carriers to resolve issues
  • Support Medicare sales by assisting with scopes of appointments, lead management, and client inquiries during open enrollment
  • Cultivate relationships with insurance carriers and vendors to enhance product offerings and service capabilities.
  • Responsible for intake assessment during open enrollment, gather member information (prescriptions, doctors)
  • Learn and utilize insurance systems, quoting tools, and CRM platforms
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on all leads and service requests

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5 years of insurance, sales, or customer service experience required
  • Property & Casualty license required
  • Accident, Health, and life licenses preferred
  • Experience working with insurance carriers or financial services a plus
  • College degree preferred
