What is the opportunity?

As the Senior Manager, Identity Experience,a key focus will be developing and delivering executive-level presentations to communicate IAM's strategic direction and impact.

Building influential relationships with stakeholders will be critical in advancing IAM priorities in a complex environment. You will navigate ambiguity and competing priorities to steer initiatives toward successful outcomes. As a champion of change, you will identify IAM trends, pilot innovative solutions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This role demands a blend of strategic vision, collaborative leadership, and technical acumen to shape the future of IAM at RBC

What will you do?

  • Act as the storyteller for IAM, building brand awareness across RBC

  • Create and deliver C-suite level presentations on behalf of IAM Senior Leadership to communicate strategic direction, demonstrate business impact, and build organizational brand awareness for IAM initiatives.

  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to the IAM Senior Management Team, translating business objectives into actionable IAM initiatives and ensuring alignment across the organization.

  • Partner with the IAM Strategy team to maintain and drive execution of the IAM Strategic roadmap, including tracking deliverable completion, gathering evidence, and delivering comprehensive progress reporting to senior leadership.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to align IAM project deliverables with RBC's strategic objectives, driving cohesive integration and maximizing business impact across the enterprise.

  • Build and leverage influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive consensus, secure executive buy-in, and advance critical IAM initiatives in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Lead through ambiguity and complexity, maintaining stakeholder confidence while navigating conflicting priorities and perspectives to drive assigned initiatives to successful completion.


What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of IAM or Security experience in roles such as Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, Authentication/Authorization, or equivalent security domains.

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with C-suite and senior executives, translating strategic directives into operational excellence and exceeding their expectations consistently.

  • Expert-level proficiency in creating executive-level presentations using MS PowerPoint and other presentation tools, with demonstrated storytelling ability that influences decision-making.

  • Proven track record managing complex, multi-year strategic roadmaps with demonstrated success delivering against business priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

  • Expertise in both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies, with the ability to drive execution of initiatives as needed and to coach colleagues on delivery best practices.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to operate effectively in matrixed, ambiguous environments and maintain reliability and transparency in high-pressure situations.

  • Exemplary business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to synthesize complex technical and analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences (technical and non-technical)


Nice to have:

  • Professional designations such as Project Management Professional (PMP), CISSP, or Prosci change management certification.

  • Experience in Financial Services or other highly regulated industries.

  • Familiarity with governance frameworks (ITIL, COBIT, SOC 2) or compliance-driven environments.

  • Experience with IAM platforms, tools, or implementations (Okta, CyberArk, Azure AD, SailPoint)
