Job Description:

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Technical Shop Floor Support representative to join our engineering department based in Kinston, NC.

The Kinston Plant Manufacturing Engineeringorganizationensures that plant assets and tooling are employed with the latest, up to date technology in plant operations, through an environment fullyutilizingcontinuous improvementtechniques.

The position holder willbe responsible forsupporting the production facility through the assessment of manufacturing non-conformities, ensuring late changes to productionare implemented and supportingandidentifyingcontinuous improvement opportunities for the manufacturing processes. Responds to technical questions and explains work orders/drawings,especially foraircraftmechanical related items. Establishes andmaintainseffective communications with production and serves asinterfaceto the on-site back office for work order adaptation.

The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:

HandleNon-Conformances: 50%

  • Create specific work orders for production rework,establish/verify the technical content of non-conformances, andvalidatethem in therecogniseddocumentation.

  • Provide technical support to production on all issues including oversight of directed changes.

  • Responsible for incorporating implicit knowledge into work instructions and refining them in terms of language, level ofdetailand regulation assignment to ensure operations have the correct production information.

  • Initiate availability of replacement parts, jigs, and toolsrequiredfor planned production.

Continuous Improvement: 30%

  • Develop. Manage and implement continuous improvement measures with reoccurring non-conformities in cooperation with quality.

  • Participate as an active ME team member to support production activities.

Risk Management: (10%)

  • Participate in risk and opportunity management for the identification, anticipation and evaluation of upcoming risks (e.g.increasing legal requirements) and opportunities (e.g.technological progress).

  • Implementation and execution of risk mitigation plans (e.g.rate capability)

Additional Responsibilities: (5%)

  • Promote a customer-focused mindset and act as a change leader within the Manufacturing Engineeringorganisation.

  • Ensure the correct standards are achieved for Aircraft and MOD Configuration for all program variants.

  • Respond to and resolve technical queries from various departments and stakeholders.

  • Define assembly strategies foraircraftcomponents.

  • Validate assembly tools and equipmentrequiredto ensure geometric tolerances and process efficiency.

Your Boarding Pass:

Required

  • Abachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Engineering Technology or equivalent years of experience isrequired.

Experience:

  • Must have 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Aerospace industry.

  • Self-driven with a 'can-do' attitude.

Preferred

  • Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite - Word, PowerPoint,Exceland Outlook or equivalent.

Citizenship:

  • Authorisedto work in the US.
