About the Role

Lockstep is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our PMO and lead complex enterprise infrastructure projects for our customers across Government, Education, and Commercial environments. This role is responsible for driving projects from kickoff through completion while partnering closely with engineering, sales, leadership, vendors, and customers to ensure successful delivery.


The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership, excellent communication skills, and experience managing infrastructure-focused projects involving networking, cloud, security, collaboration, or data center technologies. This person thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and is comfortable owning both customer relationships and project outcomes.


What you'll own

  • Lead multiple concurrent infrastructure and technology projects from initiation through closeout
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and resource coordination
  • Drive customer-facing communication throughout the project lifecycle, including status updates, risk discussions, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate internal engineering teams, subcontractors, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure successful execution
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, documentation, and change control processes
  • Identify project risks early and proactively implement mitigation and contingency plans
  • Coordinate procurement, equipment logistics, and deployment schedules to support project timelines
  • Schedule and oversee on-site work activities, installations, and customer cutovers
  • Monitor project financials, forecasting, and overall project health while ensuring projects remain on time and on budget
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the PMO, including project standards, documentation, and operational processes

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of project management experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or IT services projects
  • Experience managing multiple complex technical projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and change management practices
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability across cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to analyze project performance, financials, resource planning, and reporting across multiple engagements
  • Experience working within fast-paced services, consulting, MSP, VAR, or technology integration environments preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure technologies such as networking, cloud, cybersecurity, collaboration, or data center solutions preferred
  • Experience supporting SLED, K-12, or enterprise customers is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
