PROJECT MANAGER

This position requires working on a hybrid schedule of at least three in-office days per week

Preferred locations: Alpharetta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Conshohocken, PA; Garden City, NY; Houston, TX; Morristown, NJ; New York, NY; Purchase, NY

Contract through 12/31/2026 with possibility of extension

ROLE SUMMARY

The IT Project Manager oversees the planning and execution of 2-3 large IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to manage requirements, resources, risks, and delivery across the full project lifecycle while adhering to established governance, SDLC, and PMLC standards.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead endtoend project management activities for large IT initiatives (budgets exceeding $1 million), including application, integration, and AIenabled solutions.

Manage daytoday execution across all project phases to ensure timely and costeffective delivery.

Develop, maintain, and govern project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, risk logs, and communication plans.

Partner with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.

Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and technical teams to translate business needs into functional and technical deliverables.

Secure and coordinate project resources and funding in collaboration with leadership and functional managers.

Monitor project performance and provide regular status reporting to sponsors and stakeholders.

Communicate project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans to leadership and executives.

Ensure project deliverables comply with governance, audit, and internal control requirements.

Identify and manage crossproject dependencies and resolve conflicts proactively.

Stay current on emerging technologies, including AI trends, and assess applicability to project delivery.

Perform additional projectrelated duties as required.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of IT project management experience supporting application development and data integration initiatives. Experience leading 2-3 large projects concurrently.

Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle and Project Management Life Cycle.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage large IT projects (over $1 million and large teams.

Experience within commercial insurance or financial services environments highly preferred. Any experience with Guidewire, Claim Center or Policy Center preferred.

Proven experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. Heavier waterfall with some Agile.

Handson experience with project and portfolio management tools such as MS Project and SharePoint.

Ability to translate business requirements into actionable technology deliverables.

Broad understanding of enterprise IT systems and integration patterns.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Strong understanding and ability to follow the SDLC and PMLC.

Strong written and verbal communication skills tailored to technical and nontechnical audiences.

Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
