POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, based in the Boston area, to lead project teams, ensure design excellence, and oversee the successful delivery of architectural projects from concept through completion. This role requires robust design sensibility, technical expertise, and the ability to manage client relationships, internal teams, and project performance.

The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with a track record of managing complex healthcare projects, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high standards in both design and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams from development to execution.
  • Ensure healthcare projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest design and technical standards.
  • Review and approve design work, drawings, and specifications to ensure quality control and code compliance.
  • Develop and maintain clear construction documentation and specifications.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, including architects, designers, and technical staff.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders; manage client expectations and maintain strong relationships.
  • Manage project scope, contracts, budgets, and change orders in collaboration with firm leadership.
  • Contribute to business development efforts through providing RFP support, managing key client relationships, and participating in other pursuit activities.
  • Stay current with building codes, industry trends, materials, and sustainability standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Licensed architect with bachelors degree or higher in Architecture.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 years of experience managing projects and teams including project budgets, staffing, and schedules.
  • Experience working in healthcare in Massachusetts and knowledgeable in navigating DPH processes.
  • Proven history of successfully managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated success in effectively managing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority.
  • Competency with digital tools including Bluebeam, Deltek, REVIT and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

LOCATION

  • Hybrid position based in Boston, Massachusetts
  • Ability to travel for project requirements, as needed.
