As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception through completion across eastern and central Massachusetts and Rhode Island. This is more than a traditional Project Manager position. Our Project Managers are leaders who drive efficiency, quality, profitability, and operational excellence. You will lead project teams, manage schedules and budgets, oversee subcontractor performance, maintain client and stakeholder relationships, identify risks, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Own the success of multiple projects by driving efficiency, quality, and profitability
  • Lead project teams with confidence and accountability, ensuring clear communication and collaboration
  • Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Foster a high-performance culture through mentorship, accountability, and team development
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with direct reports and participate in morning standup calls
  • Prepare for and follow up on meetings to ensure the highest level of communication and accountability
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve the efficiency of project delivery

Project Execution & Oversight

  • Oversee construction projects from inception through completion
  • Review contracts, blueprints, project documents, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
  • Oversee Site Superintendents and ensure field work aligns with plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Manage subcontractor performance and hold trade partners accountable for quality standards and timelines
  • Drive job site efficiency in collaboration with Superintendents and trade partners
  • Maintain accurate and meticulous project records, including RFIs, change orders, schedules, and budget reports
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet Popularis Construction's standards for quality and execution
  • Proactively resolve project challenges before they impact schedule, quality, or profitability

Financial Management & Accountability

  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to maximize profitability
  • Review and approve vendor contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
  • Monitor project costs and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, budget tracking, and financial reporting
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements without sacrificing quality
  • Maintain accountability for project financial performance and resource utilization

Permits, Compliance & Safety

  • Oversee building permit applications for assigned projects
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and contractual requirements
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect workers and maintain job site integrity
  • Stay current with building codes, industry best practices, and emerging construction technologies
  • Ensure project teams maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism


Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of proven success in construction project management
  • Experience in both commercial and high-end residential construction
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management
  • Deep knowledge of building codes, regulations, and contract administration
  • Ability to read, interpret, and execute blueprints and technical project documents
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities simultaneously
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong mindset for process improvement, efficiency, and results-driven execution
  • Proficiency with JobTread, Bluebeam, Google Docs, Google Calendar, Excel, and Microsoft Word
