Project Manager
The Organization
Our client is a builder who knows how to take a project from dirt to delivery-and takes pride in doing it right. They are seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up healthcare and K-12 projects across the Metro Atlanta area. This is a high-visibility role for someone who can drive execution, manage teams, and deliver projects with precision.
The Role
Lead ground-up healthcare and K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Manage multiple projects across the Metro Atlanta market. Take ownership of project performance, schedules, and financial outcomes. Work closely with leadership on execution strategy and team development.
Core Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage all phases of construction from preconstruction through final completion
  • Subcontractor Oversight: Oversee buyout, subcontractor selection, and contract execution
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure all permitting, licensing, bonding, and insurance requirements are in place prior to project start
  • Schedule Development: Develop and maintain project schedules, logistics plans, and phasing strategies
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgeting, cost control, and profit forecasting
  • Change Order Management: Manage change orders, billing, and subcontractor payments
  • Quality Assurance: Drive QA/QC standards and enforce safety compliance on all projects
  • Team Communication: Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, architects, and stakeholders
  • Site Visits: Conduct site visits to ensure schedule, quality, and safety expectations are met
  • Documentation Management: Maintain project documentation and reporting within project management systems
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor project teams, including junior staff
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and make critical decisions during construction
Candidate Profile
  • Construction Experience: Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Industry Background: Background in healthcare and/or K-12 construction preferred
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, and financial management
  • Leadership Ability: Proven ability to lead teams and deliver projects on time and within budget
Qualifications
  • Experience Requirement: 10+ years of construction experience
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Certification: OSHA 30 certification
  • Preferred Certification: NPDES Level 1A preferred
  • First Aid Certification: First Aid/CPR certification
