Professionals in this field contact potential or existing clients to explain coverage options, answer questions, and help them choose suitable policies. The job typically requires strong communication skills, a good understanding of insurance products, and the ability to close sales remotely. Many insurance phone sales agents work for agencies, brokers, or directly for insurance companies. They often follow up with leads, handle objections, and process applications as part of their daily tasks.

Job description

Company Overview
At Tennessee Standard, our mission is to become the #1 plumbing home services company in the greater Knoxville area to take the power out of the hands of crooked contractors, give tradesmen the opportunity to create wealth for their families and love what they do, and be a light in the community to the glory of God. We are committed to doing it RIGHT:
Respect - good business begins with building strong relationships.
Integrity - never a shade of dishonesty or deceit.
Growth - intentional improvement every day.
Hustle - working smarter and harder than anyone else.
Tenacity - "can-do" attitude, never giving up till the job is done.
Summary
Inside sales reps play a primary role in making sure potential revenue for the company is not left on the table. It is a high-activity, phone-based role that involves both following up on estimates our technicians delivered as well as inbound leads from platforms like Angie's List, Yelp, Thumbtack, and Nextdoor. There is no cold calling from a dead list - every lead has already expressed interest in getting work done. Note: candidates with previous phone sales experience in plumbing, HVAC, or electrical will receive priority consideration, but candidates with phone sales experience in any home services setting are encouraged to apply!
Compensation: $18/hour (with time-and-a-half overtime) + commission on all sold revenue once jobs are completed. Estimated gross annual salary: $55,000 - $75,000.
