Job description

Senior Facility Operations Manager

Location: Washington, DC
Pay: $80,000–$110,000 annually (based on experience) + Up to 10% Annual Bonus

We are seeking an experienced Facility Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a 300,000-square-foot LEED Gold commercial facility in Washington, DC. This role is responsible for ensuring the property is well maintained, operating efficiently, and delivering exceptional service to tenants while meeting ownership and client objectives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide overall day-to-day operational management of the property while implementing policies, procedures, and programs that support a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.
  • Ensure approved quality standards are maintained throughout the property.
  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee all fire, life safety, and environmental health and safety programs in conjunction with the Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator.
  • Supervise all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior appearance and operation of the property.
  • Respond promptly to client requests while maintaining ongoing communication to ensure operational needs are met and issues are resolved quickly.
  • Oversee vendor selection, negotiate service agreements, and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contract standards.
  • Develop and administer the Property Operating Plan and annual operating budget, subject to approval by the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Collect, analyze, and report operational and financial data to support property management objectives.
  • Conduct monthly property inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with the Corporate Expectations Manual and all company policies.
  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the property, maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Maintain a professional presence with tenants, vendors, and the community while participating in approved industry meetings, organizations, and educational opportunities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education as directed.

  • Washington, DC Property Management Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • LEED Certification required.
  • Project Management training is a plus.
