Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for multiple Maintenance & Operations Assistant positions. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

This is the entry level class in the Maintenance and Operations series. Incumbents will work on maintenance, repair, minor construction, and inspection of assigned underground pipelines, pump and lift stations which comprise the wastewater collection systems of the Sacramento Area Sewer Districts (SacSewer) Agency. This position typically works as a member of a crew. However, some routine assignments are accomplished on an independent basis. This class is expected to learn and become proficient in all assigned areas of responsibility including but not limited to; pipe maintenance, minor construction and repair, jet flush cleaning operations, television (TV) inspections, and pumping station operations and maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Either: 1. One (1) year of full-time paid experience performing duties which include the maintenance, repair, construction, and/or operation of wastewater or stormwater collection and/or water distribution systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Or: 2. Completion of 60 semester units or more (or 90 quarter units or more) at an accredited trade school, junior college, or university with a minimum of 30 semester units (or 45 quarter units) in mechanical-electrical technology, construction management, or civil engineering.
Or: 3. Completion of two (2) years of an apprenticeship program as a plumber.
