Connor Group is a specialized professional services firm of Big 4 alumni and industry executives. Our team of highly experienced professionals assists financial executives with their most complex business needs, including Accounting Advisory, Financial Operations, IPO, M&A, and Managed Services.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engagement team to perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-side due diligence engagements
  • Strengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through excellent quality, timely execution, and strategic approach to service delivery
  • Identifying and communicating (i) critical deal issues, (ii) the strength and weakness of the business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact the purchase price or the deal structure
  • Challenging assumptions related to future financial projections
  • Identifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows
  • Interacting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client
  • Reviewing and preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings
  • Assisting with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheet/ of purchase price allocations, and (ii) closing working capital calculations.
  • Ensure work is delivered timely and in accordance with firm standards
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct
  • Utilizing Excel to create FDD data pack end-to-end - advanced formulas, index match, power query, etc.
Desired Skills & Experience:
  • GPA of 3.5 or better
  • Rated top 25% of Big Four class
  • 6-7 years of public accounting and industry experience required (minimum of 4 years in M&A/Transaction advisory services of a Big 4 or other large firms)
  • 3 or more years of prior supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required
  • CPA license
  • Ability to manage teams and own their work product
  • Hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to motivate engagement teams
  • Professional and personable demeanor
  • Proven solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for helping clients with a strong interest in technical accounting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience and familiarity with technology industries preferred
  • Ability to act and lead as the client contact
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
  • Some travel may be required (about 25%)
