Responsibilities
  • Administer our risk insurance program called Subcontract Default Insurance (SDI);
  • Review, evaluate, prepare reports on financial assessment, and approve qualification submissions from subcontractors;
  • Analyze insurance requirements and develope cost-optimization strategies while ensuring appropriate coverage in the bidding process;
  • Assist in developing project-specific risk mitigation plans as applicable;
  • Assist in subcontractor outreach and meet with them as needed;
  • Prepare reports on prequalification status, subcontractor utilization, and others as required;
  • Administer insurance claims and coordinate with the project teams in compiling and submitting insurance claims.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in an office environment;
  • College degree in accounting, an asset;
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines;
  • Strong customer service skills, comfortable and effective with telephone and email outreach  with subcontractors;
  • Team player with effective interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and professional judgment;
  • Exposure to financial statements is considered an asset.
