Job description

TeamHealth is seeking a medical director of anesthesiology to lead our anesthesia program at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, Louisiana, just North of Baton Rouge.
This is an excellent opportunity for an anesthesiologist interested in strategic leadership while maintaining an active clinical practice. This is a non-call position, with the option to take beeper call from home for additional compensation. The role includes a blend of clinical care, team collaboration and supervision, and administrative leadership responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities are expected four to five days per week, including personally performing cases approximately two days per week.
As medical director, you will partner closely with CRNAs, surgeons, and hospital leadership to support and grow a high-performing anesthesia service line.
A key focus of this role will be evolving the current independent CRNA practice into a collaborative anesthesia care team model. The practice will include a flexible mix of CRNA-only cases, non-medical direction supervision, and personally performed physician cases operating in parallel with CRNA-only rooms, allowing the department to expand services while maintaining efficiency and quality patient care
