Job description

  • Supporting the Account Executives in marketing new business opportunities for both prospects and existing clients to achieve annual sales targets and goals.
  • Responsible for owning and managing the new business Marketing and Placement pipeline for small and middle market submissions. Owns the review of each new business submission for completeness and accuracy in compliance with the Cabot Standard Submission.
  • Overseeing the Cabot Submission email in box.
  • Responsible for each new business submission, and marketing to carriers through Portico, directly to carrier underwriters or on carrier portals.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with carrier partners specifically marketing reps and underwriters with a preference to the core markets.
  • Generate new business proposals and quote comparisons for Account Executive client meeting presentations.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions and reworking consistency of terms.
  • Duties include managing new business marketing files, initial account set up and data entry into agency management system (AMS 360).
  • Generating ACORD applications in AMS 360 from gathered information during Account Executive's prospect meetings
  • Monitor the New Business submission procedures, recommending required changes or enhancements as necessary.
  • Solid understanding of commercial insurance products and coverage.
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy.
  • Keeps supervisor advised of market changes and conditions.
  • Responds to requests and needs promptly and courteously.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
