Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionThe Quality Inspector ensures that manufactured parts consistently meet engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards. This role performs detailed inspections of incoming and inโprocess parts, uses precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances, and collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to resolve quality issues and maintain high product reliability.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming parts to verify that they meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Perform inโprocess inspections during manufacturing to ensure parts remain within specified tolerances and quality requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and basic specifications to determine inspection criteria.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and other measuring devices to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects, nonโconformances, and potential quality issues.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately in accordance with established procedures.
- Report nonโconformances promptly to the appropriate personnel and support followโup actions to address quality issues.
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to communicate inspection findings and support continuous improvement in product quality.
- Apply a basic understanding of manufacturing tolerances when evaluating parts and making accept/reject decisions.
Essential Skills- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and basic specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, rulers, and similar devices.
- Strong attention to detail when performing parts inspections and quality checks.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing tolerances and how they apply to inspected parts.
- Handsโon experience with inspection, quality control, quality assurance, and quality inspection activities.
- Ability to perform accurate visual inspections to identify defects and nonโconformances.
- Competence in using hand and power tools as required for inspection tasks.
- Ability to document inspection results clearly and report nonโconformances in a timely manner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience working with manufacturing or production environments where inspection and quality control are critical.
- Familiarity with basic quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Comfort collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to resolve quality issues.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple inspections and documentation requirements.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 1st shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., for approximately 8โ10 hours per day, Monday through the workweek. You will work in a manufacturing or production setting where you regularly handle precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers, as well as hand and power tools. The role involves standing for extended periods while performing inspections of incoming and inโprocess parts and working closely with production and other internal teams on the shop floor.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
