Description
Knight's Companies is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to join our St. George team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck while delivering high-quality concrete products to our customers. This position plays a critical role in representing our company values, ensuring safety, and providing exceptional customer service on every delivery.
What You'll Do:
  • Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect loads to ensure proper mix consistency and quality (slump, texture, color, etc.).
  • Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departing the plant.
  • Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service at all times.
  • Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards.
  • Support plant operations and assist team members when needed.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required
  • Valid REAL ID in state of residence required
  • Must be at least:
    • 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina
    • 21 years of age for operations in Georgia
  • Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), including:
    • No DUI/DWI violations within the past five (5) years
    • No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
