M&J is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and contract requirements.


โ€ข Perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
โ€ข Monitor contractor operations including grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, utilities, and traffic control devices.
โ€ข Prepare daily work reports documenting contractor activities, installed quantities, and inspection observations.
โ€ข Verify materials used on the project meet required specifications.
โ€ข Coordinate materials testing and verify results in accordance with TxDOT procedures.
โ€ข Monitor maintenance of traffic operations in accordance with the contract plans and TxDOT Traffic Control Plan standards.
โ€ข Report construction issues to the Senior Inspector or CE&I Project Manager.
โ€ข Maintain accurate field documentation for project records.


Required

  • Minimum 3โ€“7 years of experience in transportation construction inspection.
    โ€ข NICET Level I or II certification in Transportation Construction Inspection or Construction Materials Testing.
    โ€ข ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician โ€“ Grade I certification.

Preferred

  • Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification.
    โ€ข OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training.
    โ€ข ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certification.
    โ€ข TxDOT Material Testing and Inspection precertifications (Category 12).
