Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $225,000.00 Base+Commission/year

Travel Percentage: Up to 25%

Territories / Regions

We are hiring multiple Sales Executives to cover the West and Mountain Regions. The sales territory is intended to build and grow business that can be serviced by our western manufacturing footprint:

  • West Region: Renton, WA and Woodland, CA
  • Mountain Region: Salt Lake City, UT and Aurora, CO

Candidates should be based within or have strong access to the West or Mountain territory so they can maintain meaningful customer presence, develop regional relationships, and travel regularly to prospects, customers, and MRP facilities.

This role is remote with frequent regional travel across the assigned territory and periodic travel to Mill Rock Packaging sites.

What youโ€™ll do:
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across the West and Mountain Regions in the folding carton / paperboard packaging space
  • Build a book of business serviceable by our Salt Lake City, UT; Aurora, CO; Renton, WA; and Woodland, CA plants through prospecting, networking, industry relationships, and consultative selling
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with prospects and customers
  • Lead sales meetings (virtual and in-person) from discovery through close
  • Present, propose, and negotiate solutions that align customer needs with MRPโ€™s capabilities
  • Partner closely with operations, estimating, and other internal teams to deliver on customer commitments
  • Attend and represent MRP at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Track and report pipeline activity, sales results, and forecasts
  • Continuously evaluate and refine your sales strategies to improve performance
What it takes to succeed:

Basic Qualifications (must-haves)

  • 5โ€“10+ years of progressive B2B sales experience, with a strong emphasis on hunting and closing new business
  • Direct experience selling folding carton / paperboard packaging, preferably with relationships or market knowledge in the West and/or Mountain Regions
  • Proven success building and managing a book of business from the ground up
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to sell complex, value-driven solutions
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Comfortable analyzing data, metrics, and customer insights to inform decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction
  • Willingness to travel within your region and occasionally nationally

Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves)

  • Deeper experience selling into industries such as food & beverage, spirits, health & beauty, or pharmaceuticals
  • Established regional network within the folding carton packaging industry, especially within western U.S. markets
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business or a related field
