We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, drives process improvements, and supports financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, proven leadership skills, and experience with multi-state filings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring critical functions have appropriate backup coverage.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce corporate accounting policies while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Communicate accounting policies and procedures with vendors, internal departments, and upper management.
  • Manage accounting deadlines and regulatory filings for more than 12 states.
  • Analyze financial data, evaluate revenue and expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee monthly and year-end accounting close processes and schedules.
  • Assist with tax filings, audits, and other compliance-related activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited four-year university (required).
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting experience.
  • At least two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and compliance requirements.
