JOB PURPOSE
The Process Improvement Specialist serves as a member of the Center of Excellence (COE), partnering with teams across Health One Alliance to improve processes, support Agile practices, and leverage data to drive informed decision-making. This role facilitates continuous improvement efforts, helps teams solve operational challenges, and supports the adoption of effective ways of working that enhance organizational effectiveness and deliver business value. Responsibilities may vary based on organizational priorities, team needs, and individual strengths

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES


Process Improvement & Analysis
Facilitate process mapping sessions and workshops to understand current state processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Analyze workflows, procedures, and operational challenges to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Partner with business teams to assess needs, solve problems, and develop practical solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Support the identification, prioritization, and implementation of process improvement initiatives across the organization.
Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and knowledge resources.
Support organizational change initiatives through stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and adoption activities.


Agile Practices
Facilitate Agile team cadences and structured team events including planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and quarterly planning activities.
Apply Lean and Agile principles to improve collaboration, workflow visibility, transparency, accountability, and delivery effectiveness.
Support teams in identifying and removing barriers, dependencies, and process challenges that impact performance and outcomes.
Coach teams and stakeholders on continuous improvement practices, effective ways of working, and collaborative problem-solving techniques.
Partner with business leaders, product owners, and stakeholders to improve prioritization, alignment, and delivery of business value.


Data, Metrics & Technology
Assist in the development and analysis of operational metrics, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Utilize data to identify trends, measure outcomes, and support operational decision-making.
Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for automation, enhanced reporting, and technology-enabled process improvements.
Leverage tools such as Azure DevOps, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 to support process improvement initiatives and organizational effectiveness.
Support the development of solutions that improve information sharing, workflow management, reporting, and operational efficiency.


General Responsibilities
Support Center of Excellence initiatives and organizational priorities as needed.
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Consistently demonstrate compliance with HIPAA regulations, professional conduct, and ethical practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
One to five years of experience in process improvement, continuous improvement, business operations, Agile practices, project coordination, or related disciplines.
Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading workshops, process improvement efforts, team meetings, or Agile cadences.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, Azure DevOps, and/or the Microsoft Power Platform.
Healthcare or insurance industry experience and relevant certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, or SAFe are a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Moderate to significant amount of stress in meeting deadlines and dealing with day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to drive a vehicle and daytime/overnight travel as required.
